Where Have I Been?

I have been exploring the nutrition world. I left keto/carnivore for a little while only to come back full circle. In May of 2022 I had a 25mm kidney stone that was blocking my right kidney and caused severe hydronephrosis. I had to have a PNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy) surgery to remove it & that landed me in the hospital for 2 nights. It was a nightmare. Needless to say, my nephrologist did not like my meat heavy way of eating. I allowed it to scare me into eating things my body doesn't like.


I tried all of the gut healing foods but most of them made me crave my old processed, sugar-heavy foods. Everything that made me sick before was starting to show up again. Acne, depression, weight-gain, carpal tunnel syndrome and more. Basically, hopelessness.


The more I thought about it, the more I realized that the kidney stone had been forming before eating a #ketogenic way of eating. I believe it was keto that was trying to kick the bad stuff out of my body. The problem was that I was #dehydrated and needed to drink more to flush things out of my body. I now drink 120 ounces of water per day. I use snake juice, 40k electrolytes and sometimes Ultima if I need a little flavor. I still have 2 cups of coffee in the morning with heavy whipping cream. Some people can and some people can't.


With the electrolytes and plenty of hydration I do not have that dizzy feeling any longer. No more heart palpitations or severe anxiety attacks. We can get into poop talk in another blog. Let's just say things were loose again for the first 30 days and then smooth sailing. I had a realization about raw vegetables and salads for me....constipation. Yeah, I would have never guessed that was the issue, but it was.


I will also say that when I attempted #carnivore before, I did it wrong for a woman. I needed to eat for a menopausal woman. I will be creating a moon phase intermittent fasting group for those who want to join me. If you have #PCOS or lost your cycle, the #moon is a great tool for doing a reset to get your cycle back. It is also amazing for women like me who are post #menopausal and lack a cycle to go by. Some say they got their cycle back after years of being without it. No thank you, lol. I will stay cycle free and keep admiring that beautiful moon.


I am so excited to share new tools I have learned for women who want to eat a ketogenic or carnivore way of eating. I am always learning and tweaking. I know it all takes TIME...so please give your body grace and understanding. Give it love because it deserves nourishment and kindness. If not from you, then who?
